The Senate Banking Committee has scheduled a hearing about the National Flood Insurance Program on Tuesday October 2. Although the House has passed a bill to reform the NFIP (H.R. 3121), the Senate has yet to draft a bill. The purpose of Tuesday’s hearing is to solicit initial comments. PIA National has submitted testimony on the issue to the Senate Banking Committee.
