Status of NAIC Online Fraud Reporting System

The NAIC’s online fraud reporting system has been up and running since January 1, 2005. The system was created as part of the NAIC’s response to the broker compensation disclosure issue in late 2004. It is significant to note for all PIA members (as the battle over individual state legislation on broker compensation disclosure continues) that not a single incident reported on the online fraud website has been related to producer compensation. Rather, reported incidents deal almost exclusively with claims-related issues.
