NIPR to Meet, NAIC to Reveal Survey Results on Uniformity

On Wednesday, February 13, the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) Board will meet to discuss several items, including their system update designed to accommodate a higher volume of transactions while keeping their high accuracy rate. PIA National is a voting member of the NIPR Board and will be in attendance. The meeting is being held in conjunction with the NAIC regulators meeting. Several regulators also serve on the NIPR Board.

Among several issues the commissioners will address at this meeting, producer licensing will likely be the headline topic. The NAIC is planning to reveal the results of its state-by-state department reviews.  We look forward to seeing the recommendations and working with interested parties to implement changes to achieve greater uniformity.
