Accord Forms
PIA National has secured limited permission from ACORD for all PIA agents and affiliates in the areas that have been affected by Hurricane Katrina to use the ACORD claims forms linked below, whether these agents are ACORD subscribers or not. In addition, PIA affiliates may distribute these for use by non-PIA members.
This permission is limited to use by agents for claims for losses related to Hurricane Katrina. These may not be used generally by anyone for regular/non-catastrophe claims/loss needs, nor may they be retained for use by anyone who accessed and used these for catastrophe-needs after the catastrophe-emergency claims need has been closed, and normal claims/loss proposing is resumed.

Agency Management Systems
Applied Systems/ASCNET Users Group Assists Agents: Agencies that are members of Applied Systems that want to help other agencies displaced by Katrina are asked to email offers of the temporary use of extra office space or other services. Applied has started an online Agents Helping Agents listing.
AMS and The AMS Users’ Group are ready to assist AMS agents affected by Katrina in getting their system back up and functional. If you are unable to function and need immediate assistance, please contact AMS using the following, emergency only, numbers: (866) 783-9065 or (979) 209-8856, or e-mail them at hurricane.relief@amsworld.com.
AMS agents who want to volunteer to help AMS users in whatever way possible should go to WebBoard and post your specific resources and full contact information in the Hurricane Katrina Relief Conference so those agents needing assistance can contact you directly. Vendor partners who want to volunteer should e-mail your information to info@amsug.org and AMS will post on WebBoard. |

Volunteer
PIA Members: Help your fellow insurance professionals. Some PIA agencies, especially in New Orleans, have been destroyed or damaged. While agents and many other staff members will be staying on the scene to help their insureds, some may need an alternate place for their own family members to stay or may need temporary office space or temporary use of equipment.
If you have office space or equipment you can offer displaced agents, OR if you have some extra space in your home or a vacation home and you would like to volunteer to let some relatives of those affected by Katrina stay with you for awhile, please let us know by filling out the PIA Agent-to-Agent Guest Home Volunteer Form. You don’t have to be near the affected areas.
