PIA Agent-to-Agent Guest Home Volunteer Form

PIA National has identified a potential need on the part of some PIA members and other insurance professionals in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama – and a way you might be able to help them.

Some agencies, especially in New Orleans, have been destroyed or damaged. While the agency principals are getting temporary facilities up and running to help their clients, some of them and their employees have also suffered damage to their homes.

While agents and many other staff members will be staying on the scene to help their insureds, some may need an alternate place for their own family members to stay or may need temporary office space or temporary use of equipment.

If you have office space or equipment you can offer displaced agents, OR if you have some extra space in your home or a vacation home and you would like to volunteer to let some relatives of those affected by Katrina stay with you for awhile, please fill out this brief form and send it back. You don’t have to be near the affected areas.

We will send these volunteer forms to the state PIA affiliates. They may contact you at some point if there is a specific need, and you can work out the details. Please be aware that you may not hear back unless and until there is a specific need. We appreciate the fact that you have responded to this call – but please realize that specific acknowledgment of your generosity may not be possible right away.
