A big “thank you” goes out to all of you who participated in PIA’s third annual Political Involvement and Advocacy Month.

This year, PIA Month was particularly critical because of current legislation that could be detrimental to the way professional, independent insurance agents do business. This includes legislation that would tear apart the current structure of our industry to make way for a new federalized system. PIA Members heard the call and took charge with letter writing campaigns, phone calls, and in-person meetings with their Members of Congress.

Our message to Members of Congress has always been clear: a vote for any form of federal regulation of insurance is a vote against insurance consumers, and a vote against all the Main Street insurance agents in their district.
