Former NAIC CEO Cathy Weatherford To Head Trade Group For Life Firms

 

The former executive vice president and chief executive officer for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners has landed with NAVA, the trade group known until recently as the National Association for Variable Annuities. Weatherford abruptly resigned her position as CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) last month. The NAIC has not announced a permanent replacement for Weatherford and has contracted an executive search firm to explore candidates. Andrew Beal, deputy executive vice president and chief legal officer, was appointed acting executive vice president and CEO.
