The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has announced the election of David Skove as its new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Skove is general manager of the Drive brand with Progressive Insurance. He succeeds Harvey R. Pierce, chairman and chief executive officer of American Family Mutual Insurance. Pierce served as IIHS chairman during 2004 and will continue to serve as a member of the board. Skove was a carrier representative on the PIA Company Council of Executive Officers (PIA-CCEO).
