Minnesota agents Creighton Horihan of Linda Horihan Insurance Agency and Dennis Overland of Overland Insurance Agency each received a check for $3,100 from the Professional Insurance Agents of Minnesota Disaster Relief Fund.

The Overland Insurance Agency and the Linda Horihan Insurance Agency were forced from their downtown Rushford, Minnesota locations when torrential rains and subsequent flooding August 18-19 caused damage to area homes and businesses. Overland Insurance Agency has temporarily relocated to the Rushford Village Hall, and the Linda Horihan Agency has recently reopened its 302 S. Mill St. location.

Dale Krage and Greg Sather of PIA presented the money to Horihan and Overland on October 16 at the Rushford Village Hall. The PIA Disaster Relief Fund was established to directly assist independent agents who were displaced from their offices. Contributions were received from PIA member agents, township mutual companies and PIA of Minnesota.
