Now that the House Financial Services Committee has unanimously passed the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2011 (H.R. 1309), Congress has started to address a comprehensive flood insurance reform in legislation that will also renew the program for a full five years. In an article in the June issue of American Agent & Broker magazine, PIA National's Ted Besesparis looks at the successful reform bill that is poised to finally bring needed certainty to a flood insurance program that the nation needs.
