To join or maintain your eligibility in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Agent Referral Program you must participate in two hours of flood training every two years and provide written proof of training completion to FloodSmart. Beginning in November of 2013, existing agents in the program who haven’t provided this documentation during the last two years will be required to provide it in order to stay in the program.

Over the next several months, agents who do not have current training on file will receive a series of emails reminding them to provide documentation of completion from the organization that provided the training. There are three ways to submit proof of this training: You can email a certificate of training to certificates@nfipfloodsmart.com, fax it to (703) 891-9866, or upload it to your profile on Agents.FloodSmart.gov. Please contact FloodSmart at support@nfipfloodsmart.com if you have any questions.
