In response to requests from National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) stakeholders and to explain the effects of negative elevations on flood insurance rates, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is releasing a document to the general public, the October 2013 Specific NFIP Rating Guidelines. The links in this document lead to the FEMA/NFIP Library, where three major reference files are listed. Attached here is one of these three additional linked documents. It is a two-page summary that provides PIA members with the overview of the issues and information available.

PLEASE NOTE: This latest bulletin, w-13052 (09-05-13), and its linked resources replaces those that FEMA/NFIP released this past summer to WYOs and producers for use with their customers as the tentative examples and illustrations of how the coming NFIP changes may affect their NFIP premiums.
