Tim HebertA young insurance broker in Colorado doesn’t see the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as a threat. Tim Hebert of Ft. Collins says, “For our business, we anticipate this is the single best opportunity for us to grow.”

Hebert says he isn’t worried about the new competition. Rather than viewing healthcare navigators as competitors, he regards them as sources for leads. He is planning to work with navigators and expects they’ll send him cases that are beyond their expertise. “Brokers are designed to really handle the more complex issues. Navigators are more of an education and outreach entity,” Hebert said.

Broker Tim Hebert is profiled in this feature about insurance brokers in the era of the ACA.
