Like a person with blockages in their coronary arteries, some health insurance companies are recommending a bypass for the federal healthcare.gov website. The companies have urged the Obama administration to form a shortcut that would allow them to enroll people entitled to healthcare subsidies directly, instead of having to use the government’s limping website. Some insurers also suggest that consumers could potentially work directly with an insurer to estimate their qualifications for a subsidy and conduct federal verification at a later date. More>>
