An article that appeared last week in the National Underwriter’s Life & Health edition that details how PIA got members of Congress to send a letter to the HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius asking that standards be set for healthcare navigators. The Underwriter reported that “[T]he letter, written at the request of officials of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, argues that guidelines proposed for navigators and counselors provide significantly less protection to patients and consumers than the states have provided through licensed insurance agents for decades.”
