The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reported that enrollment in Affordable Care Act (ACA) health plans fell from 12.7 million before the Jan. 31 deadline to 11.1 million at the end of March. The decline was expected as some people who sign up do not pay their premiums. With 87 percent of enrollees remaining signed up, CMS said the figure is within the anticipated range of 80 percent to 90 percent retention.
