The National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) has unanimously passed a resolution urging opposition to all proposals calling for an Optional Federal Charter (OFC). The vote came during NCOIL's annual meeting in Austin, Texas last week. PIA participated in the meeting and spoke in favor of the anti-OFC resolution.

The resolution calls on state leaders, including state regulators, attorneys general, and governors, to reinforce their strong opposition to OFC legislation, and it urges Members of Congress to express their strong opposition to forthcoming OFC proposals.
