National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) President George Keiser has applied for a seat on for a seat on the pending Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance. The U.S. Treasury Department is now forming the committee to advise the new Federal Insurance Office (FIO) on insurance regulatory matters. Half of the 15-member committee will be state or tribal insurance regulators; the remainder will be property/casualty insurers, life insurers, reinsurers, agents and brokers, public advocates and academics.
