PIA of Florida has scheduled four meetings in September during which it will presented morning "Hurricane Lessons" and an afternoon summary of Florida insurance regulations and new laws and regulations recently approved by the Florida Legislature. PIA and its staff are working with the Department of Financial Services and the Office of Insurance Regulation as they develop the rules and guidelines resulting from the new laws of this past legislative session.

"We want to make sure agents understand what the new laws entail and how to best implement them," said Mark O'Connell, PIA of Florida's executive vice president. "Face-to-face meetings with PIA's government affairs specialists Keri Rayborn, and Department of Financial Services staff promise to provide the best environment to get the nuances of these new laws across."
Meetings are scheduled September 19 in Tampa, September 20 in Orlando, September 21 in Miami, and September 27 in Pensacola.
