Insurers are fighting a bill in Delaware that that would place a moratorium on all use of credit information by insurers for underwriting and rating personal lines. Consideration of S.B. 95 is expected to continue after June 3, when lawmakers return from a recess. Debate on the bill comes soon after the insurance department issued less restrictive regulations on insurers' use of credit information, set to go into effect September 1.
