Rep. Pickering Addresses Group; Liz Luce Named PIAPAC Person of the Year

The Professional Insurance Agents Political Action Committee (PIAPAC) held its annual gala fundraising dinner on the evening of April 3, 2003 at the Hotel Washington in downtown Washington, D.C.

Rep. Chip Pickering (R-Mississippi) addressed the group, outlining prospects for legislative action on several proposals that are focus issues for members of the association.

Elizabeth B. "Liz" Luce, AAI, ARM, of Cheyenne, Wyoming wan named PIAPAC Person of the Year for 2002 in recognition of her outstanding service to the political action committee.

"Every year, the PIAPAC nominating committee has the tough decision of choosing one person who stands above the rest in dedication on behalf of PIAPAC," said PIPAC Chairman W.N. "Buddy" Oliver of Jackson, Mississippi. "Our winner's dedication and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated by everyone. We are fortunate to have Liz Luce in out PIAPAC family."

Luce is President and owner of the Rocky Mountain Capital Agency of Cheyenne, Wyoming. In addition to her PIAPAC involvement, she serves on the PIA National Board of Directors representing Wyoming and is President of the Board of Directors of PIA Services, Inc.

The PIAPAC dinner capped a day of activity by PIA members attending the association's 20th Annual Federal Legislative Summit, a one-day legislative "fly-in" by PIA members who spend a day lobbying their elected representatives in their Capitol Hill offices.
