The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) elected regulators from Maine, Alabama, Kansas and New Mexico as the organization's 2006 officers during its Winter National Meeting. Maine Insurance Superintendent Alessandro Iuppa will serve as president; Alabama Commissioner of Insurance Walter Bell will serve as president-elect; Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger was elected vice president; and New Mexico Insurance Superintendent Eric Serna was elected as secretary-treasurer. Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Diane Koken will serve as the Association's immediate past president.
