A 39-year-old insurance agent who was gunned down execution-style as he arrived at his office worked for a PIA member agency. Edward Schiller was an employee of Aronson Insurance Agency in Newton, Massachusetts, a PIA member agency.  He was shot once in the head at point-blank range as he arrived for work on January 13.

Police are still searching for the person or persons responsible for the murder. Middlesex District Attorney Martha Coakley said the murder was "not random." "From the shooting in the head at close range ... you could label it as an execution," Coakley said. Coakley would not comment on any suspects or leads the police are pursuing.

Schiller is survived by his parents Christine and Frederick Schiller, his brother Carl, his sister-in-law Meredith and his niece, Lillian. "He was a wonderful person," said Christine Schiller. "He was loved by a lot of people."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Newton Police at (617) 796-2100 or state police assigned to the office of District Attorney Martha Coakley at (617) 679-6600.
