This year's Spring PIAPAC Dinner, held during PIA's Federal Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., was a tremendous success.  Hosted at the Top of the Hill Banquet and Conference Center at the Reserve Officers Association, this year's event broke attendance records, with well over 100 PIA members participating.  Attendees enjoyed a three-course dinner and entertainment provided by political satirist and comedian Dave Werner.  During the dinner, PIAPAC Chairman Harper Young presented awards, including the prestigious PIAPAC Person of the Year, to outstanding contributors of 2008.

In 2004, then PIAPAC Chairman Bob Gyle initiated the Chairman's Challenge to generate support for PIAPAC among PIA affiliates' board of directors.  In 2008, 5 affiliates met this challenge, each garnering 100% participation from their board of directors.  These states are:

Louisiana
Nebraska
North Dakota
Virginia/DC
