FOX News political analyst Andrea Tantaros addressed the attendees at the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) to provide a post election analysis. She began her address with a list of five points where she said she and her fellow conservative political analysts misjudged what the American people care about. In the end she said, a majority of the American people decided they liked President Obama better than Governor Romney.

“It’s the classic who would you rather have a beer with test,” she said. She pointed out that the economy and foreign policy didn’t seem to matter as much as likeability. She also talked about how Governor Romney didn’t run a very effective campaign, noting that many of his big supporters wanted him to go on the attack more. Ms. Tantaros, the co host of “The Five” on FOX News, spoke as a guest of the NCOIL Industry Education Council (IEC). The IEC is comprised of many industry groups whose goal is to educate the legislators on emerging insurance issues. David Eppstein served as IEC chair during 2012.
