The NAIC is meeting just outside Washington D.C. from November 29-December 2. On November 27, the commissioners held a special session to discuss insurance exchanges. On November 28, the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) board will meet to continue discussing ways to make licensing more efficient.

The regulators are also expected to discuss natural catastrophe issues, surplus lines, captives and many other important items. PIA National Assistant Vice President for Regulatory Affairs David Eppstein will be attending the meetings.
