Earlier this month, PIA called for the retraction of an ad that claimed agents were at fault for a lack of business interruption coverage after Superstorm Sandy. Since then, PIA of New York filed a formal complaint with the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division against the law firm for producing false, deceptive and misleading ads in the Sandy-affected market. PIA received notice that its complaint is being considered and the results should be available within 30-50 days.

PIA stands vigilant against erroneous and offensive advertising that paints agents as anything other than what they are: ethical, hard-working advocates for their clients.
