John Huff, the outgoing president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is resigning his position as Missouri insurance director.

Huff was appointed in 2009 by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, a Democrat who couldn’t run for re-election due to term limits. Nixon will be succeeded by Republican Eric Greitens, who won the gubernatorial race in November. Huff said he resigned because “every administration should have the right to bring in their own people.”
