Kentucky State Representative Steve Riggs of Louisville is the new president of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL). Riggs is vice chairman of the Kentucky House Banking and Insurance Committee and is an insurance broker in Louisville.

“I am proud to serve as NCOIL President” said Rep. Riggs. “I have worked with this organization for many years and know how valuable it has been to me in Kentucky and to legislators across the country. I look forward to continuing the growth.”

NCOIL also elected Rep. Matt Lehman of Indiana to serve as Treasurer, Sen. Jason Rapert (AR) was elevated from Secretary to Vice President and Rep. Bill Botzow (VT) was elevated from Treasurer to Secretary.

Sen. Travis Holdman continues his service as an officer, moving from President to Immediate Past President.
