The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) recognized three state regulators who have made significant contributions to state-based insurance regulation today during the Opening Session of the NAIC's Fall 2016 National Meeting.

The NAIC presented three state department regulators with the Dineen Award. The NAIC established the Robert Dineen Award for Outstanding Service and Contribution to the State Regulation of Insurance in 1989 in honor of the founder of the NAIC's Support and Services Office.

The 2016 Dineen Award recipients are: Kim Hudson, Supervising Insurance Examiner of the California Department of Insurance; Cindy Donovan, Chief Financial Examiner of Indiana Department of Insurance; and Rich Piazza, Chief Actuary of the Louisiana Department of Insurance.
