Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Teresa Miller will chair a task force as part of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) that will examine issues that impact senior insurance consumers.

The Senior Issues Task Force, Commissioner Miller hopes, will be a place where consumers, regulators, insurers, consumer advocates, and others can bring innovative ideas for improving the insurance options available to seniors and those planning for their retirement.

Commissioner Miller has already taken on a leadership role at the NAIC on issues critical to seniors and aging Americans, having been named chair last year of a new group that is examining how in the future the private sector can better contribute to funding the long term care needs of our society. “I look forward to continuing the work I have done on long term care innovation and to tackling more issues important to our seniors as chair of the Senior Issues Task Force,” Commissioner Miller said.
