The PIA National Regulatory Affairs Committee met on September 6, 2003 in Milwaukee to review the status of its current projects and to set goals for the coming year. Areas of concentration will be: insurance scoring, producer licensing (including fingerprinting of producers), premium pass-through accounts, record retention requirements, fees for extra services, market conduct and regulatory modernization. In addition, Regulatory Affairs Committee members hosted an information exchange with state affiliate representatives on topics of mutual concern and importance. Members shared their successes, problems and questions with other Regulatory Affairs Committee members and with each other. The committee intends to incorporate similar forums at upcoming Board meetings.
