As Hurricane Katrina struck, PIA of Florida board member Ed Langston did what much of the country did: watched the horror of the hurricane's destruction of the upper Gulf Coast on TV. He thought back to last year when his Casselberry agency was deluged by three hurricanes. Langston had the foresight to implement a comprehensive catastrophic plan, so his agency was back in business within hours after the hurricanes hit-albeit with generators and imaged, computerized backups.

Langston knew that agents in the affected area needed help, so he loaded up his SUV with emergency supplies and headed for Mississippi.  Read Ed's account of what he found.
