Now It's Easier for Small & Mid-size Agencies to Broaden Coverage While Saving Money

If you are an agent in any of the states where the PIA Agents Umbrella Program through Penn National Insurance is offered, we are pleased to announce that Penn National has lowered its minimum requirements for underlying E&O coverage. If your agency's underlying E&O coverage level has prevented you from taking advantage of PIA's broad umbrella coverage and combined E&O/umbrella savings in the past, now's the time to look again.

The new minimum requirements are:

  • 1M/1M minimum for agencies with gross commission income less than $500,000;
  • 1M/2M minimum for agencies with gross commission income between $500,000 and $1,000,000;
  • 1M/3M minimum for agencies with gross commission income between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000;
  • 2M/4M minimum for agencies with gross commission income between $1,500,000 and $3,000,000

PIA and Penn National Insurance are proud to offer the most comprehensive and affordable excess insurance protection available, packaged into this one, easy-to-manage policy. The PIA Agents Umbrella Program through Penn National Insurance is offered in the following states: AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA and WV.

Is Your Umbrella All Wet?

Does your umbrella provide excess limits protection for E&O, available on a following forms basis over occurrence or claims made forms, including Full Prior Acts Coverage and covering individuals acting in a capacity as a real estate agent or notary?

Does it provide broadened coverage and excess limits protection for your business and your employees for liability incurred as a result of normal business activities, including Personal Injury, Libel, Slander and Advertising Offense?

Does it include First Dollar Legal Defense for covered claims not covered by underlying insurance?

Can you round out your coverage with optional endorsements including broadened and excess personal protection for owners, partners and officers, including their family members, and excess limits protection on a following forms basis for wrongful employment practices?

If you didn't answer "Yes" to each of these questions, your umbrella's not just wet - it's full of holes! You need the PIA Agents Umbrella, possibly the most comprehensive and affordable excess insurance protection available.
