PIA National Immediate Past President Terry Adams has received a commendation in the Congressional Record recognizing his dedication and professionalism. The commendation was extended by Rep. Greg Walden (R-Oregon).

"Mr. Speaker, I rise today to highlight and commend the service of Mr. Terry R. Adams, a resident of Oregon's Second Congressional District, for his service to his community and the nation as a member of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents," said Rep. Walden in remarks extended December 17, 2005 and printed in the Congressional Record. "Mr. Adams recently completed his term as the president of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents and had previously served in many positions of responsibility in the Association for more than 18 years."

Terry Adams has twice been honored as the Professional Agent of the Year by the Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon/Idaho, first in 1996 and again in 2001. He is principal of the Reinholdt & O'Harra Insurance agency in Ashland, Oregon.

"This honor is especially fitting," said PIA National Executive Vice President and CEO Len Brevik. "Terry Adams' belief in PIA as the association of choice for all independent insurance agents is real.  It comes from his heart.  And his effectiveness in bettering PIA through his vision and steadfast leadership has positioned our association for success for many years to come."
