NJYIP Poised to Pass $2 million in Donations to Special Olympics

In the past 22 years, the New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals, partnering with the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc.'s Annual Golf Classic, has raised more than $1.9 million to benefit Special Olympics of New Jersey. This partnership has allowed thousands of Special Olympics athletes to train and take part in various Special Olympic events. This year, the insurance trade association plans to break the $2 million mark in fundraising dollars. As part of the PIANY/PIANJ Joint Annual Conference, the NJYIP will host its annual Fun Run, a 5-kilometer race benefiting Special Olympics of New Jersey, on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 7 a.m., on the Boardwalk at Bally's Atlantic City.
