PIA of Ohio scored a victory for fairness when an insurance company's advertisements were dropped from vehicle registration renewal notices sent to Ohio drivers. PIA of Ohio complained about the ads in a letter to Gov. Bob Taft (R) earlier this year, noting that only Allstate was included in the mailings.  Responding to the letter, Taft asked the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to look into the contract with the Massachusetts company that sends the notices, Imagitas, two months ago, saying he was concerned the Allstate ads might be taken as a state endorsement of the company over other insurance agents. "We're delighted the governor took a leadership role and did the right thing," said George Haenszel, executive vice president of PIA of Ohio.
