WASHINGTON, December 5, 2007  - Twelve more insurance companies have signed on as sponsors of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents' award-winning agent branding program, Local Agents Serving Main Street America(SM).

PIA announced today that Adirondack Insurance, Commercial Mutual Insurance Company, Cornerstone National Insurance Company, Fremont Insurance Company, Hermitage Insurance Company, Magna Carta Companies, National Security Fire and Casualty Company, New Jersey Skylands Insurance, Pekin Insurance, Rutgers Casualty Insurance Company, Sublimity Insurance Company, and Utica First Insurance Company are the latest carriers to become part of the PIA Branding Program.

"PIA is pleased to welcome the newest group of distinguished insurance companies as participants in the PIA Branding Program," said PIA National Executive Vice President & CEO Len Brevik. "By signing on as sponsors of the PIA Branding Program, these carriers have demonstrated their commitment to the success of the independent agency distribution system and the continuing prosperity of their professional agent sales force."

PIA's Local Agents Serving Main Street America(SM) branding program is an advertising and promotional campaign available at no additional cost to all PIA member agencies throughout the nation. The program currently consists of twenty-one print advertisements with 251 variations that PIA members can run in their local publications.

During November, 2007 the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals awarded the PIA Branding Program Platinum and Gold MarCom Awards in the Corporate Branding and Advertising Campaign categories respectively.

The PIA Branding Program's advertisements reinforce the position of PIA members in their local insurance marketplace as local agents who offer personal support and service, as well as a choice of policies from many companies to better fit their customers' needs.

"The PIA Branding Program is a win-win for PIA members and the companies they represent," Brevik said. "PIA members benefit from the attractive advertisements that stress the qualities America's insurance buyers find most important. Carriers benefit by being able to support the advertising and branding initiatives of their PIA appointed agents, ensuring growth now and in the future."

"The PIA Branding Program is free to PIA members, as part of their membership dues," Brevik said. "As a matter of fact, the PIA Branding Program is free to our carrier partners as well. Rather than ask them to pay hefty fees to promote PIA, we prefer they hold onto their money to support their own marketing objectives, particularly if that includes providing cooperative advertising dollars to their PIA member appointed agents who run PIA Branding Program advertisements."

Additional information about the PIA Branding Program for both PIA members and interested carriers is available here.
