PIA National President Fred Thomas was profiled in his hometown newspaper, the Ravalli, Montana Republic. The paper serves Fred's hometown of Stevensville.

"It's an exciting opportunity to head up a national organization that I've been involved with for many years," he said. "Our primary goals will be to make sure that Main Street independent agencies and their customers are represented well in Washington, D.C., by our lobbyists. And we will continue to protect the American free enterprise system."

"PIA is an activist, grassroots organization that seeks to protect the business and professional interests of its members, the owners of independent insurance agencies throughout the nation," he said. "Our commitment to our customers and our communities is exemplified by PIA's motto, 'Local Agents Serving Main Street America.'"
