If you operate an independent insurance agency, then chances are you have spent time thinking about how you should market your agency’s services. You’ve thought about the type of prospects you want to reach and the best ways to reach those prospects. You’ve considered new marketing tools as they have become available and reconsidered some of the tried and true tools you’ve used in the past as they have become less effective. Maybe you’ve even wished you had a little help along the way. That’s where PIA steps in with our PIA Branding Program.

Through the PIA Branding Program, PIA helps PIA members with their agency’s marketing efforts. We do this is a number of ways, providing marketing education, advertising materials and access to innovative tools. Below you’ll find brief descriptions of the resources currently available through the PIA Branding Program. Keep your eyes on this column as we are currently working on new ways to help PIA members stay ahead of the marketing curve.

Advertising Materials: PIA has created a series of advertising materials that we make available to PIA members at no cost so they can run them in their local markets. These advertisements include print and radio advertisements which are available in both English and Spanish.

PIA Agency Marketing Guide: This annual publication provides PIA members with information they can use to market effectively, keep up with new technologies and learn about niches that might make sense for their agency. This year PIA will be publishing the fourth installment in the series. Previous publications have focused on personal lines marketing, Internet marketing and using social media in the agency.

Agoragate: Our friends at Agoragate, (pronounced “AGRA gate,”) have built a Web system that attracts people conducting online insurance searches. It then introduces them to local independent insurance agents who write the type of insurance they are searching for. By participating in the Agoragate program, PIA members can be featured on pages that rank highly in Google and other search engines. PIA member discount: $200.
