PIA National has provided comments on the Department of Homeland Security’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking concerning the potential removal of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)’s Financial Assistance/Subsidy Arrangement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)’s regulations.  Comments were requested on whether the “Arrangement,” a contract between FEMA and the Write-Your-Own companies, and the summary of the Financial Control Plan (FCP) should be removed from the appendices of FEMA’s NFIP regulations.

PIA intends to remain extremely involved in the regulatory process on this important issue.
