New Hampshire Agent Honored for Political Involvement


2004 PIAPAC Man of the Year, Don Flanders, PIA national director from New Hampshire and chairman of the PIA National Regulatory Affairs Committee. Flanders serves as vice chairman of the PIAPAC Committee, is a Republican State Representative in the New Hampshire legislature and a member of the board of directors of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL).

WASHINGTON, April 15, 2005  - The Professional Insurance Agents Political Action Committee (PIAPAC) named PIA National Director Donald H. Flanders, CIC, CPCU, CPIA, as its Person of the Year.

The honor, in recognition of outstanding involvement on behalf of professional insurance agents, was bestowed April 7 during the annual PIAPAC fundraising dinner on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C, held in conjunction with the 2005 PIA Federal Legislative Summit.

Flanders is Chairman of the PIA National Regulatory Affairs Committee. Active in politics, he is a Republican State Representative in New Hampshire. Flanders also serves as a member of the executive committee of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL).

"As a past recipient of this award, it gives me great pleasure to present this distinguished award to a very deserving individual," said PIAPAC Chairman Bob Gyle. "We are fortunate to have Don as a member of our PIAPAC family. His dedication and constant support are greatly appreciated by everyone."

Founded in 1931, PIA is a national trade association that represents member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance, but specialize in coverage of automobiles, homes and businesses. PIA will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2006.
