Albuquerque, N.M., September 20, 2007 - The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents has named Ohio Casualty as the recipient of its prestigious 2007 Company Award of Excellence.

The award was presented September 15, 2007 during a ceremony in Albuquerque, New Mexico in conjunction with a national PIA board of directors meeting. The annual PIA National Company Award of Excellence honors companies for their commitment to PIA, to the American Agency System and to furthering the interests of professional insurance agents by creating a better business environment.

"This award is a badge of honor for a carrier that has been so supportive of professional insurance agents over the years," said PIA National President Donna Pile. "With Ohio Casualty, I have always been able to sell with confidence knowing they treat their customers as I would want them to be treated.  That is critical to my success as an agent."

"Ohio Casualty has always had only one distribution channel: independent insurance agents," Pile said. "When it comes to being a true partner, PIA members have no better partner than Ohio Casualty. And with Ohio Casualty now a part of Liberty Mutual, we look forward to many more years of productive partnership," Pile added.

Ohio Casualty Territory Vice President Bob Fehrenbach accepted the award during a ceremony held last week in conjunction with the National PIA Board of Directors meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"We are very honored to receive the 2007 Company of the Year Award from PIA," said Mike Winner, president and chief executive officer, Ohio Casualty. "We have a long tradition of fully supporting the independent agency system through our partnership with PIA and our continuing efforts to offer competitive products, services, and state-of-the-art interface systems. As a new member of Liberty Mutual Agency Markets, we remain focused on building and maintaining strong relationships with our local independent agencies."

"Ohio Casualty's recognition by PIA is further proof of its strong cultural fit as our newest regional company," said Scott Goodby, executive vice president, Agency Markets and chief operating officer, Regional Companies. "Its reputation for strong agency relationships and marketplace consistency is reinforced with this award. Ohio Casualty begins a new chapter in its history as part of Liberty Mutual Agency Markets which has a long-standing commitment to our independent agent partners and their success."
