PIA National Legislative Assistant Chara R. BrayWASHINGTON, March 25, 2009  - Chara R. Bray, formerly director of legislative correspondence in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, has joined the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) as Legislative Assistant.

During her White House stint, Bray managed all written correspondence between Members of Congress and President George W. Bush. Additionally, she edited the official and personal correspondence of President Bush and conducted policy research for First Lady Laura Bush's special projects and events.

"PIA is pleased to have someone with Chara Bray's proven talents and high level experience as a member of our federal affairs team," said PIA Director of Federal Affairs Mike Becker. "The members of PIA will benefit greatly from her expertise, enthusiasm and professional contacts."

A native of Texas, Bray graduated with honors from Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in management.

Founded in 1931, PIA is a national trade association that represents member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance, but specialize in coverage of automobiles, homes and businesses.
