 Inaugural edition of association publication recognized for excellence

WASHINGTON, August 4, 2011  - The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA National) has been awarded the APEX 2011 Award of Excellence for its work on the 2010 PIA National Agency Marketing Guide.

The PIA National Agency Marketing Guide is an annual print and electronic publication containing hands-on marketing advice from some of the insurance industry's premier experts. It's a valuable commentary on what is working for agents in today's marketplace with insight into what will work for agents tomorrow.

APEX 2011, the 23rd Annual Awards for Publication Excellence, is an international competition that recognizes outstanding publications from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and Web sites.

According to the APEX 2011 judges, the award was "based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communications effectiveness."
