Web Tip #14: Educational Programming
Visitors to PIANET often ask about PIA's educational programming. By and large, PIA's educational programming, including designation programs such as CIC, CISR, and CPSR, is offered by local PIA affiliates. However, agents in many states can also access top-notch, low-cost, online CE and skills courses directly through PIA National's web site here.
To see if your state is participating in this online program and to take a course, please visit the Education Home Page and click on one of the course links to view a map of participating states.
Web Tip #13: My Employees
All PIA National members have a password to PIA National’s website. But since each agency usually only has one PIA National member, what does everyone else in the agency do for password access?
The answer lies in the “My Employees” section of your personalized “MyPIANET” web page. There PIA National members can create usernames and passwords for all of their colleagues.
To get to My Employees, go to the Members Only section of PIANET using the button at the top of each page. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see a link to your personalized “MyPIANET” web page. From there you can access My Employees and the many other options available through MyPIANET.
Web Tip #12 Usernames & Passwords
Are you a PIA member or affiliate staff member that sometimes receives email directly from PIA National? If so, not only do you have your own username and password for PIA National’s website, www.PIANET.com, but you can have them emailed to you instantly here.
Do you or your agency belong to PIA but we don't have your email address? You are also allowed password access to this website. Just visit the Login FAQs and Assistance page to learn how to get yours.
Take a moment to get your login information now so you’ll have it when you need it. The first time you log in to PIANET you’ll be able to change your username and/or password so they are easy to remember. Afterwards you can make changes to your username and/or password by visiting your personal MyPIANET web space available in the PIA Members section of PIANET.
Web Tip #11 News Center
Do you wish there was one place you could go to find all the latest insurance news - news about issues that affect your business, news about the organizations that affect the industry, news about PIA? If so, you'll want to visit PIA National's News Center. You'll find all that and more including news about the impact of politics and legislation on insurance and news about the people and companies that make up our world.

Web Tip #8 Local PIA Associations
While most PIA members are very familiar with their local PIA affiliate associations, many visitors to www.PIANET.com come looking for contact information for these organizations. Whether they are looking for membership services, educational programming, products and services available to agents, advertising opportunities in local publications, or any of the other functions carried on at the state level, these people are looking for the Local PIA Associations section of PIANET. There users will find complete contact information and web addresses for all PIA affiliate associations.

Do you sometimes need to contact PIA National, but you’re not sure who to contact? The answer is as simple as visiting the Contact Us page. There you’ll find names, titles and contact information for PIA National staff divided by department. If you’re still not sure, simply call our main number (703-836-9340) or email piaweb@pianet.org and we’ll be happy to assist you.

What’s my password? That’s the most common question the folks who man the Help Desk for PIA National’s website get. While everyone has unique login information for www.PIANET.com, everyone can find theirs through PIANET’s Login FAQs and Assistance page. Whether you’re a PIA National member, an agency employee, a PIA affiliate staff member or a member of the PIA-CCEO, your username and password are waiting for you.

Have you ever wished there was one place you could go to have all of your questions answered? Well, when it comes to questions about PIA National’s website, www.PIANET.com, there is. It’s called “Tools for Using PIANET” and it can be found at the bottom of PIANET’s home page. There you’ll find information about logging in to PIANET, solutions to common login problems, helpful tips for using PIANET, free program downloads so you can view PDFs and PowerPoint presentations, and more. Visit today so you can take full advantage of your PIANET!
